Here in this beautiful part of the South Lakes, known locally as the ancient celtic kingdom of Rhegged, there is a real sense of the 'sacred' primarily due to the influence of Saint's Patrick Cuthbert and Columba, who brought Celtic Christianity to our shores.
The village of Storh is situated in an area of outstanding beauty (AONB) and is off the main road to Arnside leaving our village free of noisy traffic making it the ideal venue for peace, stillness, retreat and respite. Many of our visitors have come to recognise that our small village of Storth is reminiscent of the TV serial, 'Miss Marple,' because of its quaintness and remaining locked in the 1940's.
